3 Boxes

3 BOXES is a trio featuring Andy Roberts, Clive Gregson and Mark Griffiths, all old stable mates from various incarnations of Plainsong. The new trio recorded an album, produced by John Wood (Fairport Convention, Nick Drake, etc..) for release shortly and in 2012 flew to Los Angeles to shoot a promotional video (featured below) directed by Nigel Dick (Oasis, Nickelback, Guns n' Roses etc..). A trio, all featured in Hugh Gregory's book '1,000 Great Guitarists', have taken their experience of playing together in various bands, added their unique styles on acoustic guitars (aka 'boxes'), and the result is much more than the sum of the parts.
